Fleetio Telematic Integration

Fleetio launched in January 2012, and today thousands of people use Fleetio to manage hundreds of thousands of vehicles, equipment, parts, drivers and more. Over the years they’ve worked with fleets of 10 vehicles to many thousands, and their mission is still the same.

Fleet operations are complex and difficult to manage. People start out trying to use spreadsheets but quickly outgrow them. That’s why Fleetio is passionate about making it easy to manage a fleet so organizations can spend more time focusing on their own mission.

Frequently Asked Questions

What triggers Bouncie to send data to Fleetio?
Bouncie sends data to Fleetio in three ways: real time updates from connected devices, when a single vehicle is first linked, and when all vehicles in an account are synced during initial setup.
How often is data updated in Fleetio?
GPS location and odometer data are updated in near real time as Bouncie devices report new information. Other data, such as faults and battery alerts, are created when triggered by vehicle activity.
What vehicle data is synced between Bouncie and Fleetio?
Bouncie syncs GPS location, odometer readings, battery voltage alerts, and diagnostic trouble codes.
How are low battery alerts handled?
When a low battery voltage is detected, Bouncie creates an issue in Fleetio and applies a label to identify it as a battery-related alert.
How are diagnostic trouble codes managed?
Bouncie creates fault rules in Fleetio if they do not already exist, then logs faults when issues occur. Faults are automatically updated to resolved when the issue is cleared.
What do I need to connect Bouncie to Fleetio?
You need two credentials from Fleetio: an API Token and an Account Token. These are required to securely connect and sync your data.
Where do I find my Fleetio API Token and Account Token?
Both tokens are located in Fleetio under Settings, then Manage API Keys. The API Token is tied to the key you create, and the Account Token is listed in the Account Tokens section.
What should I do if the integration is not working?
Make sure the API key is active, confirm both tokens were copied correctly without extra spaces, and verify that your Fleetio account has admin permissions.
Is my Bouncie data secure when connected to Fleetio?
Yes. The integration uses secure API credentials to ensure that data is transferred safely between Bouncie and Fleetio.
